What does your team do at Orion?

The aim of our work is to protect Orion’s innovations and ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations.

We take care of information security on multiple levels. We identify risks to information security and design appropriate ways to manage these risks. We also deal with information security breaches and are responsible for information security services and technologies. We work closely with various stakeholders and with representatives from Information Management.

What makes working in Orion’s Information Management team special?

Information and cybersecurity is a fascinating subject in itself, but at Orion it has a real connection to people’s health. Through information security we enable the production of medicines and vital pharmaceutical R&D by safeguarding the confidentiality of information and access to critical services.  We also have a genuinely positive, can-do spirit and great colleagues.

AI’s rapid development and potential are particularly fascinating. As a project manager, I am constantly thinking about what we can optimize – or even fully automate – with AI.

At the same time, I believe that AI increasingly highlights the importance of human skills – interaction, collaboration and leadership – in other words, how we build effective and successful teams. We are in a period of major change, and keeping people involved in technology and process development is crucial.

What have you learned or realized at Orion?

I have learned how much collaboration and open communication affect results. My key role as a project manager is building trust and a shared understanding. When the team feels heard, people have the courage to innovate and improve processes.

Our goal is to integrate systems seamlessly and automate tasks as much as possible.

When the ERP system and integrated processes work well, it improves product availability and quality, and ultimately, patient well-being. At the same time, we make work easier for our employees by streamlining their work.

Matters related to quality management have taken on new meaning for me at Orion.
